"In the Spirit of Bezalel" - named for the first person in the Bible – an artist – that was filled with the Spirit of God - said to create in the shadow of the Lord.
In Exodus 31:1-6, Bezalel is the chief architect of the Tabernacle.It means "in the shadow [protection] of El." He was said to be highly gifted as a workman, showing great skill and originality in engraving precious metals and stones and in wood-carving.
I'm slow to add this, but I thoroughly enjoyed your open house a week ago and am so happy to now be the owner of "New 2", one of your pieces. It hangs where it can be seen every day and has just enough reflection from light for the gold leaf to illumine the whole piece. I'm very satisfied. Thank you!
