"In the Spirit of Bezalel" - named for the first person in the Bible – an artist – that was filled with the Spirit of God - said to create in the shadow of the Lord.
In Exodus 31:1-6, Bezalel is the chief architect of the Tabernacle. It means "in the shadow [protection] of El." He was said to be highly gifted as a workman, showing great skill and originality in engraving precious metals and stones and in wood-carving.
Say, check out the new (January/February) issue of The Artist's Magazine. I came in second in the annual international student competition - abstract/experimental art category.
